HOLY COW.
The weather over the last few days has been a dream! Sunny skies, warm temperatures and cool breezes have made myself and everyone around me very content.
Mother Nature can sometimes be pretty awesome. Sometimes.
So, it's been two months since my last blog post. Instead of apologizing to those of you who actually follow my blog, I'm just going to skip the redundancy and move forward with this amazing post that will make up for being lazy.
Here's a quick update:
Over the last two months, I ...
became obsessed with the TV show Party Down South. The season finale was last week :/. Shout out to faves: daddy and lil' bit!
lost some respect for the writers of Walking Dead because this season has been a disappointment by far.
crocheted my first legit purse. Complete with bamboo handles that I sewed on and a lace lining that I also sewed. NEVER crocheting a granny square purse ever again.
watched the movie Into the Wild and cried when the old man asked to adopt the kid. Almost teared up thinking about it just now.
was published as Copy Production Editor for the first time in the Life's A Beach spring 2014 issue. On stands now.
spoke about the company I work for at the monthly Destin Chamber leaders in business luncheon for the first time. And somehow remembered everything I was supposed to say and said it with confidence and without hesitation. Coming from the person who despises public speaking.
bought my six-month-old puppy a harness collar. This is my first experience with them. They're SO much fun to put on a lab mix puppy that can't stay still EVER.
cruised to the Bahamas with my main squeeze and discovered my talents as a professional haggler.
went out for a girls night and stayed out past midnight. I may only be 24, but after drinking my body makes me feel like I'm twice that.
took bartending training at Nightown. Hoping to be slingin' some alcohol somewhere fun this summer.
donated blood for the first time ever. What a wonderful feeling it was! I will definitely be donating regularly.
got a new phone! Peace out iPhone. It's a Nokia Lumia Icon and it has a 20 megapixel camera. Enough said.
All in all, it's been a productive two months for me. I'm sure the next two months will be just as productive, if not more. But, I would like to incorporate some more excitement into my life. What that entails, I have no idea just yet, but I will be searching for the answer!
